John Seller’s octavo sized ‘New System of Geography’ was advertised for sale in the ‘London Gazette’ for 29 September to 2 October 1684. There were later editions in 1690 published jointly by John Seller senior and junior, 1694 and 1703 by his son Jeremiah Seller in partnership with Charles Price and John Senex. Despite these later issues it is very rare. The maps were also included in some examples of the even rarer undated ‘Atlas Terristris’. This particular map displays the Kingdom of Algier, and its five provinces. Shirley BL T.Sell 8a no. 90.
