A very rare map by Pieter Meijer published in “Algemeene Oefenschoole” which was issued in two volumes in 1763 and 1770. The work is a translation of and designed as Benjamin Martin’s ‘Natural History of England’, 1755-63. The date of Martin’s issue 1758 is found in the imprint lower left. This map appears in the first volume and curiously refers to Bowen as the author. Hodson (1984-97) 260.
