It is a by the noted artist Juan Reus Parra (1912-2003) and published for the for the Autumn Fair in Cordoba in 1955. The city has produced some of the finest bull fighters in history. Parra was born in Valencia where as an artist he became particularly well known for bullfighting posters. At seven years old whilst working as an apprentice he met the painter Constantino Gomez. In the 1940s he went to work for the Ortega workshop in Valencia where he specialised as a designer of bullfighting posters. He became arguably the best known artist on the subject. This is amongst the largest sized poster he produced, most are half the size.
