George Philips’ very large scale plan of London and its immediate environs was first published according to Hyde c.1888. There are a total of five states through to c.1929. This third state includes the Tate Gallery. It extends outwards from London to reach Tottenham High Cross, Abbey Wood, Beckenham and Acton. Hyde (1975) 229 st. 3.
