The ‘Palazzi di Roma’ was published in Rome c.1655-1670 in two parts. The first part was published by Pietro Ferrerio (c.1600-1654) c.1655. Part two is a continuation by Giovanni Battista Falda (fl.1648-1678). The beautifully engraved plates are by various engravers including Ferrerio, Falda and Antonio Barbey. They feature the Palazzo’s of Rome and are attractively designed to display the facades. It is the first publication to provide accurate scaled illustrations of the Roman Palazzi.
