Antonio Zatta’s ‘Atlante Novissimo’ was intended to ‘accompany the ‘Nuovo Geografia’, an Italian translation of the geographical treatise of A F Busching.’ (Shirley). This work by Zatta (fl.1750-1804) was issued in four-volumes and published between 1775 and 1785. This map of England, Wales, and Ireland appeared in the first volume. It is adorned by an attractive title cartouche. Provenance: Doreen Green 1997; private English collection. Phillips (1909-) 650; Shirley (2004) T.Zat 1a no. 36; Valerio (1988).
