A high quality atlas published by the famous Rand McNally company of Chicago. This luxury bound atlas in two volumes contains numerous large scale maps of all parts of the world. The first volume is devoted to the United States of America, the second to the rest of the world. There is extensive accompanying descriptive text with historical and statistical data. There are charts analysing area, population, manufactures goods, transport and commerce. Along side that are detail population figures. It appears that this atlas might have been first issued in 1891 and was subsequently enlarged. This is clearly a deluxe edition and to find one in such perfect condition must be a rarity.
