This is the only atlas recorded by the publisher Jacques Henry of Paris here offered in the fifth edition. It is identified as a ‘New’ lithographic printing. Each of the Departments is mapped with various ‘Remarques et Curiosities’ surrounding. There are two further maps including Belgium and Algeria. Provenance: private English collection. Tooley (1999-2004).

Large quarto (400 x 275 mm.), contemporary half calf with cloth boards, recorded, with later gilt calf title label affixed to the upper board, with ornate gilt tooling to the spine. Ornate title, with 90 maps in total, consisting of a general map of France, 83 maps set within descriptive text and set in ornate cartouche, 1 full page map of Belgium, 1 folding map containing 4 of the continents and one folding map of the world. Lithographed throughout.
