This rare English sea chart of the Gulf of Venice and Adriatic Sea was first published in John Seller’s ‘English Pilot Third Part’ covering the Mediterranean Sea in 1677. This example is published by Richard Mount and Thomas Page in the 1711 edition of the ‘English Pilot Part III’ covering the same region. It shows the coastlines of Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Albania, extending from Friuli and Istria south to Otranto and Valona (Vlore) in present day Albania.
