This is the first large scale map of the interior of the present day United States to be published in England. In the south east it utilises the cartography of Thomas Nairne and Richard Berresford, of the latter a large manuscript of the region can be found in the Public Record Office today. 61 x 101 cms. Early outline colour. First state. Some splits to the double folds as is often the case, a tear in the Gulf of Mexico, and one through the plains all well restored.
