A publishers note bound in with the title states that the maps are kept up to date in respect of the latest discoveries and identifies specifically the new plate depicting the arctic explorations of Parry and Franklin. It contains 7 world maps, 23 of the Americas and 3 relating to Australia. The rare Jehosophat Aspin ‘Surveys in the Interior of New South Wales’ [Tooley (Australia) 134] which was only thought to be in the 1828 edition. A very good copy with good sound binding and only some marginal foxing to the maps. A previously unrecorded final edition. Sanderson ‘National Maritime Museum’ no. 448 listing the contents of the 1821 edition, ours bears two extra maps. Refer Phillips no. 750 (1827 edition).
