A RARE SEPARATELY PUBLISHED MAP. The first state of these tables engraved by Thomas Hutchinson (fl.1733-54). He was born circa 1706 in Fulham and would be apprenticed to map maker John Senex for seven years from 1721. Half of this plate is taken up with a large table of distances between the major towns and cities of England and Wales. The remaining half bears a map of most of the British Isles and illustrates the Judges Circuits. The Shetland Isles and Hebrides are included on two inset maps. Provenance: Doreen Green 2003; private English collection. Shirley (1988) Hutchinson 1 state 1; Worms & Baynton-Williams (2004).
