An excellent rare sea chart of Crete and nearby islands first published by at least 1677 in John Seller’s ‘English Pilot’ on the Mediterranean. The main town and castle in Corfu is clearly outlined. It is engraved by ‘J[oel] Gascoyne’ (1650-1705). This example was published by Richard Mount and Thomas Page in the 1711 edition of the ‘English Pilot Part III’ covering the same region. The main towns of ‘Canea’ and ‘Candia’ are identified. This example was published in Mount & Page’s ‘English Pilot Part Three’ in 1711. It is likely engraved by Joel Gascoyne (1650-1705). Sanderson (1971) 425 no. 141; Shirley (2004) M.M&P 3a no. 18 & M.Sell 1d no. 17; not in Sphyroeras et. al. (1985); Zacharakis (1992) 2160.
