Despite being a sea chart the topographical detail ashore is superb. It extends from Portland Bill, Weymouth and Dorchester in the west to Christchurch in the east. Bournemouth which barely existed only a few decades before is rapidly developing. First published in 1893 this is brought up to 1929.
