A fine detailed map of the Western Mediterranean Sea by Thomas Kitchin published in the ‘London Magazine’ in June 1756. The beginning of the Seven Years War was in April 1756 when the French attacked the island of Minorca in the Mediterranean laying siege to it. On 29 June 1756 it capitulated, just after this map had been published. Jolly Lond 106.
