An excellent example of the rare FIRST STATE found in the first unfinished issue of 1612. From Drayton’s ‘Poly-Olbion’, This is a book of songs by the Elizabethan poet Michael Drayton (1563-1631). He began publication of his longest poem in 1612. It comprises a series of songs in praise of the English and Welsh countryside, with accompanying allegorical maps. an allegorical map of Kent profusely illustrated with nymphs and virtually every river is named.
