A fine detailed chart by John Stephenson and George Burn of the waters between Cornwall and the Scilly Isles. The Cornish coast from The Lizard to Cape Cornwall is depicted along with 7 coastal profiles upper right. In 1794 the firm of Laurie and Whittle took over the successful business of Robert Sayer. However not reliant on Sayer’s own maps and charts they supplemented them with many new ones such as this chart. ‘Scarcer Maps of the Isles of Scilly’ no. 20 (earlier state by Sayer); not in Palmer (1963); Sanderson (1971) 379 no. 76.
