Based on chart from the account of Anson’s circumnavigation. A lovely engraved chart of the Philippines that details the tracks taken by the Spanish galleons from Manila through the complex of islands leading to the open Pacific Ocean. Published in the June 1763 issue of the ‘London Magazine’. The text calls the map ‘finely coloured’ which it is. Very few maps were coloured for the London Magazine. Jolly, D.C. (Brit Per) LOND-227.
