Governor Louis de Kerlerec (1753-63) led French Colonial Louisiana through an interesting period of its history. This document is an official transcript of the transfer of lands near the town of New Orleans and one described as being at the ‘English Turn’ south of the city on the Mississippi River. It is written in French in large readable script.
